Some minor changes which I don't want to withhold from you:
- mod.ShowVDCFloyd (shows a 64K VDC image selectable as 640x200 or as 640x400, depending on where you click the Execute button; find out how!) ;-)
- mod..Histogram (I added a button to display the graphics screen)
- mod.ClipWorks (the "Only loadable"-lock when executed from an REU is abolished, and I changed the captions of the clip windows)

(Download).

Thank you, Nate Dannenberg! ;-) You have urged me to write an alternative Version of GoDot's GIF decoder module. One that produces 320x200 images instead of the 160x200 ones like before. Advantage: Once you needed a hires conversion of a GIF you had to walk the hard way, now today it's one simple procedure. Disadvantage: the assignment of the colors is somewhat coarser, instead of scooping from 55 different shades of color there are only the 16 built-in base colors available. In spite of that magnificent C64 pictures are produced which very well are good for IFLI mode, too! (Download.)

Some American friends of GoDot suggested to offer IFLI pictures for download from my website. IFLI's are pictures which (by a trick) display up to 136 different colors on a C64 screen. A very impressive experience!

Now able to retrieve 4Bit clips

Am 20. Januar 2002

(Download).

Ldr.4Bit&Mask: It's quite a long time I'm laborating on this loader to eliminateall those tiny little silly bugs. The loader is now capable of also retrieving sections of a 4Bit image, them so-called Clips. The gadget "to Full", however, is still without function, you can't yet switch to "to Clip" etc. For that purpose mask and image data must be synchronized, which I haven't yet achieved. But actually, the loader all works like the previous version. (Download).

Having the right idea is premise to programming useful things. Like indicating the active partition with mod..ChangeParts (the partition you are currently in). As you see, I had such an idea, and now it works.

The other update refers to mod.MaskEd. Similar to mod.PixelEdit you are now able to also use the gadgets while in edit mode. New is "Wipe" to fill the whole visible area with the pattern retrieved by CTRL-+ (assigned to 1 card). Key combination for that: CTRL-w. Download as usual.

Active Partition is highlighted
Selected Partition is #11 ("big partition")
Active Partition is "godot 01"

Edit a Mask for ldr.4Bit&Mask
New Feature is "Wipe", filling the visible area.

Am 16. Januar 2002

A 12Bit-Digi example

...darker (which looks better!)

... and brighter! (To see the difference)

On 3rd of January 2002

Everybody knows that GoDot is able to digitize video frames at 12 bit color depth (every 4 bits per RGB-color), resulting in max. 4096 colors per image (see examples). These images aren't displayable on a C64 but we have a loader (even two!) calculating this abundance of colors back to multicolor: ldr.4BitRGB (and ldr.4BitRGBd, "d" stands for "dithered"). Both loaders have been updated now. They are now capable of reading an image brighter or darker just like ldr.GIF does by changing the Balancing values before loading. The three examples here show this quite impressively: the darker one has been set to Brightness -5 and Contrast 10, the brighter one was Brightness 2, Contrast 5. The big image has been left unchanged. It is one of the first ever GoDot-created 12-Bit-Digis. In the background it shows the issue of 64'er Magazin that introduced GoDot to the public. Some more 12Bit-images can be downloaded from here, all from the usual GoDot-Support webpage.

On 8th of December, 2001

Well, many American Users requested a saver for Windows BMP. It can be downloaded now from my support site. Have fun creating Windows documents using C64 graphics! ;-)

On 13th of October, 2001

I don't know how that man gets things going, but finally there's a usable saver for Internet graphics formats! With that (and with The Wave and GeoWrite) from now on everybody is able to create web pages directly on his C64. All icons and pictures here on the right have been painted with GoDot and transported here *directly* (without converting on a PC). Look at the pictures' formats to know what I am talking about. If you want to recover the name of this saver you may ask here. To download click here.

These pictures directly from the C64!

There's no hurdle for most interesting but still wave-friendly C64-sites anymore!

Am 13. Oktober 2001

Something completely different: Anybody who is interested in programming BASIC and is looking for a "comfortable" BASIC dialect, has found it hereby: TSB (Tuned Simons' Basic). This interpreter is at 99% commands-compatible to the well known Simons' Basic and was my predecessor project to GoDot. It is programmed entirely new and provides considerable improvements as to the original. More about TSB in the file "README.RUN" on disk. To download click on the screenshot. Have fun!

Screenshot of TSB running a demo program

TSB provides about 30 commands more as compared to Simons' Basic, and makes it easy to create user interfaces like the one above which comes to life just from a quite sophisticated character set some of you probably know from my Eternal Calendar program once in GO64!

Who knows Simons' Basic will appreciate TSB!

Am 27. September 2001
